For those of you who have ever had to experience the nightmare of fighting off debt collectors, banks, lenders or other

creditors who demanded their money back, usually with menaces (heavy handed solicitors in particular), you will know

the stress involved and the level of harassment involved is crippling and usually almost impossible to deal with for the

simple reason you simply do not have the money.

Well, this service is for you! It is called your “McKenzie Friend” and it provides you with a specialist in debt

management and debt negotiations who knows how to negotiate with creditors to get them off your back

and accept a massive reduction in the debt you owe….every time! How can they do this? Well, because they

know what a debt collector/bank/lender will regard as acceptable just to close a case and, more

importantly they know the law….and the law does actually give you huge protection even though you don’t

realise it.

Typically they will achieve the following for you:

  • Immediately stop your creditor from contacting you and harassing you anymore!
  • Immediately take over the conversation with them for you.
  • Set out the terms of the negotiation that they will now be conducting and what the law allows in these situations thus trapping the creditor into a very limited negotiation process.
  • Advise the creditor they will report them to the FCA and/or Ombudsman if the creditor does not now negotiate in good faith and within the strict parameters of what the debt recovery laws actually allow.
  • Get any interest the creditor is still charging you immediately frozen so it cannot increase anymore.
  • If you are being threatened with a CCJ they can help stop it for you.
  • If you have already had a CCJ issued against you they can help to get it set aside (removed).
  • Whatever you were paying per month they will get it massively reduced, often down to literally £1 per month during the negotiation period and then either a massively reduced one off payment to get rid of the debt in one go (usually 10% or less of the debt owed) or a monthly payment plan at a fraction of the cost you were paying before (again usually at 10% or less of your previous monthly payment) – this will be a full and final negotiation and payment plan. Whatever is agreed and paid (usually no more than 10% of what you owe), once paid, clears that full debt in its entirety!

Examples of what this “McKenzie Friend” advisor has achieved for others:

Example 1: Client had a £20,000 debt. Client negotiated an IVA that allowed them to write off £11,000 and then repay the remaining £9,000 debt at a rate of £520 per month. The IVA shows on your credit file for 6 years afterwards and the Insolvency Practitioner will charge you £3,000+ for setting this up and administering it for you!
Our McKenzie Friend would have got the creditors to accept £3.00 per month only! (as the law allows) That’s a saving of £517 per month and the outcome is that in 2-3 years they would also have got the creditors to accept 10% of the original  debt as the “total settlement” thus saving the client a total of £18,000!

Example 2: Client had a £30,000 debt and was trapped in a £320 per month repayment plan via an IVA. The plan collapsed because the client could no longer afford this huge monthly payment anymore.
The creditors started harassing the client again with ever greater demands for money the client quite obviously could not afford.
Our “McKenzie Friend” stepped in and ultimately got the creditors to accept just £5 per month from then on!! Needless to say the client wished he had known about McKenzie Friend from the outset.

Example 3: Client had £50,000 of debt and was repaying at a rate of £650 per month whilst also facing considerable ongoing harassment from the creditors. Once the McKenzie Friend stepped in his repayments were instantly reduced to £7 per month and all the accruing interest was also immediately frozen!
