Flying Lessons
FLYING COURSES/PROGRAMS
There are 3 Courses to choose from. The instructors are experts in their fields and
love to share their passion with the next generation. All staff are background
checked (DBS) and trained to run safe, successful programs. The Flying Instructor
and Ground School Trainer are qualified senior instructors who carry out the flights
and training to ensure that all courses meet the expected high standards of quality.
Level 1 - Safety Pilot Qualification
This course is designed for individuals who may or may not have previous flying experience. As such, this course aims to start from the very beginning introducing you to familiarisation with the Aircraft, the effects of controls and all aspects of aircraft movements. By the end of the course you will know how to climb, descend, turn and stall an aircraft and will fly an aircraft utilising as many of the skills you have learned as possible. You will have achieved the ability to land an aircraft in an emergency.
Level 2 - Ability to fly solo
This course can either be a follow on from the Level 1 course (refresher elements included), or it can be both Level 1 and Level 2 combined into one program. By the end of the course you will know how to climb, descend, turn and stall an aircraft and will fly an aircraft on solo flights if you have attained the necessary skills level.
Level 3 - Full Private Pilots Licence
This course can either be a follow on from the Level 1 and Level 2 courses (refresher elements included) or it can be both Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 combined into one program. By the end of the course you will know how to climb, descend, turn and stall an aircraft and will fly an aircraft on solo flights including cross country if you have attained the necessary skills level.
Minimum Age Restriction: The minimum age for flying solo is 16 and for a full PPL is 17.
Options for Group sizes: Minimum is 1, maximum is 5.
All of the courses include the appropriate amount of Ground Flight Training and Hands-On Flying experience. The Level 3 course includes pre-course online access to the full PPL Manual.
